Participants in the Electromagnetic Field Measurement Course received their certificates.
Electromagnetic Field Measurement Certificates were issued by the Information Technologies and Communication Authority. Course participants who attended trainings for 3 days earned their documents after passing written and practical exams.
Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, who participated in the program, stated that they utilize all possibilities of technology to ensure the healthy operation, supervision, and quickest measurement of the results of regulations made for communication systems in our country.
Deputy Minister Sayan: We Are Working Especially for Base Stations to Provide the Healthiest Service
Expressing that they have improved the processes especially for base stations to provide the healthiest service, Sayan said, “The theoretical and practical training organized throughout this week is an important indicator of this sensitivity. In addition to establishing all kinds of communication systems in our beautiful country in accordance with international standards, the Measurement Tracking System we have developed for visionary supervision was put into service on December 5, 2019.”
Reminding that since the day it was put into service, the electric field strength values of tens of thousands of base stations have been automatically measured through the MTS, Sayan stated, “Thanks to this system, field measurements are transferred to the central database instantly without human intervention and passed through the filter of our automatic supervision mechanisms. I believe that the Measurement Tracking System, supported by critical components such as fingerprint verification, GPS-assisted location detection, and automatic timestamp, will yield beneficial results for our citizens first and foremost, as well as mobile operators and organizations holding Measurement Authorization Certificates.”
President Karagözoğlu: The Technical Qualifications of Authorized Personnel Are Very Important
BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu also reminded in his speech that one of the duties of BTK is to authorize organizations that will conduct measurements in the electronic communications sector and to provide the necessary coordination.
Emphasizing that real or legal persons who do not possess the authorization certificate issued by BTK cannot provide measurement and supervision services, Karagözoğlu shared, “In this context, it is of great importance for us that the organizations to which we issue Measurement Authorization Certificates provide reliable, quality service and continue their activities within the framework of scientific standards. We meticulously monitor compliance with the electromagnetic field strength limit values determined by our Institution in the services provided by mobile electronic communications service operators authorized by our Institution. We continuously supervise the measurements you make in the field, either through automatic supervision mechanisms or our on-site activities.”
Underlining that the technical qualifications of the personnel who will work in the authorized measurement organizations are very important, Karagözoğlu said, “We believe that the better educated, distinguished, and equipped the personnel working in these organizations are in their field, the more effective and efficient the results of the work done will be. You have been trained by our Institution's experts through the exams you took here. You will apply the knowledge you acquired in these trainings practically in the field in the tasks to be assigned to you in the organizations where you will work. Thanks to this training, you will be able to perform your duties properly,” concluding his speech.
Following the speeches, 19 people who earned certificates received their documents.
